Fred in the Navy
 

   Fredrick was known as Fred or "Schecter"
A Navy Seabee in WWII, he was a machinist at Great Lakes Machine Works, then Clyde Iron for 33 years, retiring in 1974. He was an instuctor at the then new Vo Tech-Duluth Area Vocational Institute, now called Lake Superior College. Fred and Ruth moved to Twig, Mn in 1986 living in an addition to Cindy and Duayne's home especially built for them. He enjoyed riding in his dump truck with his German Shepard and working on his tractor engine. Lived with Ruth and Cindy on Trinity Road before the mall was built about where Culvers is now. They had a cabin at Grand Lake for many years.
